It’s taken me a few weeks, but we are finally going live!
As I say in the post Going Live Soon, I’ve been over-busy (that is a public confession of sin) with travel and writing deadlines. As I go live I want to give thanks to Ryan Rodriguez (Over Come AML) Winn Griffin (Harmon Press) Helen Mildenhall (Conversation at the Edge) and Jim Henderson (Off The Map) for helping me get this ready, for giving me a basic introduction to WordPress and for getting the word out about the Three Is Enough blog. Check out the post Welcome to Three is Enough for a bit of an introduction to the site and what I am up to in my new life. Note especially the pages regarding TiE. They provide a good introduction.
Speaking of my new life, in addition to consulting (Alpha USA is my biggest client) most of my time these days is spent writing, teaching at seminaries or speaking. May 15th I finished five articles (angels, demons, miracles, healing, the Holy Spirit) for a new dictionary of theology. May 23rd I submitted to my literary agent a proposal for a second book. May 30th I turned in to IVP the “getting towards the end” draft of Christianity Beyond Belief: Following Jesus for the Sake of Others. See the welcome post for a little background on the book. In between the writing were trips to Orlando, New Orleans, Minneapolis, San Diego, and Seattle.
This summer I teach at Trinity Learning Community in Corona, CA and Wheaton College in Illinois. We’ve got some family vacation planned, but around that most weekends are booked speaking somewhere. Virtually every weekend in the fall is booked with conferences. Check back here for more info on the fall schedule.
I am working on an around-the-world trip in early December to see old friends and sponsor Three is Enough Groups. I hope to visit Auckland, Sydney, South Africa, Europe/UK and then back to little Eagle, Idaho!
If you are interested in having me come to your city to teach on the material in my book and launch Three Is Enough Groups, I do have some midweek spaces open for the remainder of 2008.
I plan to make this blog the central communication place for TiE. Communication suggests conversation—conversation suggests two-way dialog. Thus I intend to make this site as wiki-like as possible. I want you to be able to add new learning to any of the pages, or create new pages, etc. as a first step toward that end, one of my students, now a friend—Elizabeth Chapin—has written a sample book review of Vital Friends. Check it out here.
Thanks for looking in on me—I hope our paths cross soon.

Whereabouts in the UK are you planning to be?
WOW! TiE going global in December – sounds like a blast to me!
Blog on Blog god!!!
Congratulations Todd! Way to go!
Look’s like some practical stuff. Can’t wait to read through it all.
So glad to have you back in the blogosphere.
Todd, I’ve had a quick look over the site and the idea seems sound. I’ve left some initial thoughts on Helen’s site, Conversation at the Edge. I’d love to hear your comments.
I’m planning on reading the rest of the site over the weekend. If I have any questions would you be available to answer some emails? I’m supposed to be plastering a bedroom but you’d be giving me an excuse to get out of it.
Yeah Todd you have a blog! I’m glad you’re back. Can’t wait to see TiE takeoff.
Any thoughts of coming to Asia?
Specifically, Malaysia.
Todd has asked me to handle Asia
Todd,
Way to get the site up, bubba! For a guy who isn’t “working” you sure have a lot going on! This following Jesus thing is quite the adventure, eh?
I love you Todd! Blessings on you and all you do!
Wow Todd, everything looks and sounds great. Congratulations on all your new endeavors! I’ll see you in July!
Well Theodore, you continue to earn the extended name that I bestowed upon you years ago. Lead by God, (of course) your big brain (which matches your big, read ‘bottom’ here) may have brought to the forefront another way for Christians to reach others by intentionally following the path of Jesus in their individual lives, but accountable, encouraged, and supported by a few others, whom are trusted friends, confidants and seekers of the Kingdom, willing to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in their everyday lives. This is where the rubber meets the road!
Peace out brotha’
